World Creole Music Festival

The World Creole Music Festival's (WCMF) launching train ended with a great turnout in Trinidad. The Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC) and the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) embarked on efforts to promote and encourage visitors to the island for the WCMF and any other time. www.DiscoverDominica.com
The train started in New York then onwards to St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Lucia and finally Trinidad. So we are expecting the fans from these islands and worldwide to visit Dominica during this time.

What's your musical preference? Let us know! The festival caters for lovers of soca, reggae, zouk, compa, bouyon and the list goes on... www.wcmfdominica.com
So you must have heard that Patick St. Eloi, the major act for night #1 is not able to make it and so a poll was held to choose the replacement. Did you vote? and the winner is........KASSAV!
Now tell us what you think of the new line-up.
There will also be honours handed to musicians this year during the festival. Find out who in our next blog.
See you there...

I think that Val Cuffy, despite what people say about him and his work, he is doing a fine job with the WCMF, but I would like to see the DFC get more financial assistance from ALL players involved. I'm also looking forward in see Mr. Cuffy do something about Mas Domnik 2010 and beyond, and something somewhere around Summer or Easter. Mr. Cuffy, Dominica's Carnival is superior to that of Trinidad's, so we should do much better with marketing Mas Domnik. You Can Do It Val "The Young Bull" Cuffy. GOOD LUCK
